Hosepipe Ban from 21 July

Southern Water introduced a hosepipe ban in our area from Monday 21 July. For members to be seen hosing down boats whilst the ban is in force would show us in a poor light.

Given our position on the seafront, we are very much in public view.

We have therefore decided to temporarily remove the hoses from the compound. Buckets and sponges are available to Members to wash down their boats.

The only exception is the hose near the boat house, which is needed to flush out the engines on the ribs. Thank you for your understanding.
