Training at Seafarers is for members only, but you are welcome to join the Club and enrol on one of the courses we offer.
The courses run at Seafarers are for people aged from 8 to 68. Our focus is on novice and improver sailing courses, but these courses are also suitable for sailors who just want a refresher. We also run courses for more experienced sailors. We use both single and double handed dinghies and strive to make all our courses fun, accessible, and inclusive.
Our training is run by volunteers, using Club boats, and outside of normal working hours. This allows us to make the training very cost effective.
For more information on the courses that we run, including how to book, go to Training - Courses and Booking (here).
Training at Seafarers is carried out by RYA qualified instructors. To see the team, go to Training Team (here).
All instructors at Seafarers Sailing Club carry out regular Safeguarding training and updates. All our RYA qualified Instructors (not Assistant Instructors) are Disclosure & Barring Service checked.
To see the dates of our training courses this year, go to our RYA Training Programme (here).
Seafarers Sailing Club also carries out Power Boat training and internal Club training as required.
