As the school holidays start, what better way to take advantage of the Club's location and resources than to spend Friday evenings with your Club friends having fun on the water. On four consecutive Fridays from 19 July to 9 August the Club is providing another opportunity for those who have recently completed training, or feel inexperienced or "rusty" to work on their sailing skills and confidence in a supportive environment. All the Club boats and the Gig will be available. Patrol boat cover will be provided.

These four evenings will be akin to the Club's Practice Sailing sessions (here). Friends who are non-members are welcome provided they are signed into the Visitor's Book, are signed in on the sailing sheet, and have signed the insurance indemnity form. They can be taken out in the members' boat, or if the member is authorised, a club boat. Non-members under 18 years of age must be in possession of a signed parent's/guardian's authorisation form. Children/Cadets under the age of 11 must have a parent or responsible adult present either on shore, sailing, or helping.

Although helpers will be welcome, the requirement for Volunteer crew is minimal because Clan Bichard with their friend and Club member Pat Law have most of it covered. This is not an RYA Training event, but Ken, Lee, and Pat, who are all RYA Instructors, will be available to provide support and advice.

The bar will open at 20:00.
