Andrew Major - the Atlantic Rocketman - will talk about his solo rowing adventure crossing the Atlantic
In February 2025 Atlantic Rocketman arrived in Antigua having successfully rowed solo 3000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a race called 'The World's Toughest Row' in a 7 metre long rowing boat.
From leaving the start line in La Gomera in the Canaries, Andrew faced violent storms, monstrous waves, the boat capsizing, sleep depravation, salt sores, 20 near misses with other boats and the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean. Hear all about it from the man himself.
The bar will open at 19:00 and the talk will start at 19:30
The talk is free - however, there will be a collection at the end of the evening in aid of Andrew's chosen charity - so please bring some cash if you can, many thanks.
If anyone planning to attend requires any further information, please contact Viv, our Social Secretary
