Your Seafarers Membership is due for Renewal by 1 January 2022

Published 00:30 on 10 Nov 2021

Your membership to Seafarers Sailing Club is due for renewal by the 1st January 2022.

You are hereby invited to renew on WebCollect via the following link Click here to sign in and renew. If you do not intend to renew your membership, please let the Membership Secretary know as soon as possible.

££ Reward Vouchers ££

As a thank you for your loyalty in what have been a difficult two seasons due to the pandemic, all members who renew will be entitled to claim a £10 reward - either bar vouchers (2 x £5) or a club merchandise voucher (£10) - to spend in the new season. To qualify, the member must have paid their subscriptions, and requested the voucher by end of 31st January 2022. Vouchers will be emailed out in March 2022 prior to the start of the season, and are per membership household. Full terms of use will be on the voucher.

To request a voucher please email sscvoucher@gmail.com with subject header "bar" if you want to spend it at the club bar, or "merchandise" if you want to spend it on club merchandise, along with your name please.

Boat Spaces

A boat space is allocated for a specific class of boat. If you are changing your boat or applying for a new boat space, please confirm with the Membership Secretary, before purchasing, to ensure that there is a suitable space available.

If you wish to leave your boat in the compound all year, please ensure that you purchase/renew a Boat Space (All Year). If you do not pay for 'All Year' (and choose 'Sailing Season only'), you will be required to remove your boat from the compound by 30th November. Members are reminded that all boats in the compound, and/or participating in club events, must be insured in accordance with club rules (minimum third party risk £3,000,000) and that road trailers are not to be left in the compound at anytime. You will notice that we have simplified the form this year and simply require a declaration of valid insurance rather than policy name & number, however you will need to input your boat details and sail number again.

Duty Obligations

As usual all club duties will be published in the Duty Roster on the main club website https://scm.seafarers-sailing-club.org.uk/roster at the end of February and your duties dates will be emailed to you.

Duties and personal details are only visible when signed in.

Please accept your duty and the system will then allow you to swap the duty, if required.

If you wish to swap your duty, you can select the dates you wish to swap, and up to 10 possible members to swap with. The Duty Roster will send emails to the members you have selected. If/when someone agrees to swap with you, and clicks on the 'accept' link in their email or on the website, a response will be sent to you and the Duty Roster on the website is updated.

You will then be emailed reminders for your duties 2 weeks and 2 days prior to your duty.
