The Commodore's Challenge will comprise two races run back-to-back. The intention is to get as many Club and member's double handed boats on the water as possible each crewed by an experienced sailor and a novice/cadet. This format will provide an opportunity for inexperienced sailors to get a feel for racing and how much fun it can be. It will also allow experienced helms who usually sail single handed to remind themselves of the fun of sailing double handed.

The race will be run by a VOLUNTEER duty crew. To Volunteer go to the Duty Roster (here)

  • Race One - Competent Helm and a Novice/Cadet crews
  • Race Two - Novice/Cadet helms and the competent sailor crews

The result will be a combination of the two races.

There will be a contingency plan if the wind is not favourable.

On completion of Racing - approx 16:30

There will then be an Egg Drop competition from the Club house Roof which is always popular with younger members.

Evening - from 17:00

Bar opens.

A barbecue will be available for those who book via WebCollect (here). Standard Ticket £12 Cadet Ticket £6.

Booking closes on Wednesday 2 July.
