The Commodore's Challenge will comprise two races run back-to-back. The intention is to get as many Club and member's double handed boats on the water as possible each crewed by an experienced sailor and a novice/cadet. This format will provide an opportunity for inexperienced sailors to get a feel for the fun of racing. It will also allow experienced helms who usually sail single-handed to remind themselves of the fun of sailing double-handed.

Race One - Competent Helm and a Novice/Cadet

Race Two - Novice/Cadet helms and the competent sailor crews

The final result will be the sum of the results of the two races.

There will also be team Gig Racing: Each team will race "Rowsea" out around two buoys and back to the shore. Teams will race one after another and the winner will be the team with the fastest time

On completion of Racing - approx 16:30 there will be Prize Giving and then at 18:00 a BBQ

After sailing why not stay on and enjoy a tasty meal including delicious BBQ food. This will be accompanied by a selection of special salads. A mouthwatering dessert will follow.

Any dietary requirements can usually be accommodated - please advise when booking.

Closing date - Wednesday 8 July midnight -- so book up now to secure your place.

Please book via WebCollect. (here) Tickets Cost £12:00 (£8.00 for Cadets)

The bar will be open from 16:00

All welcome - Members plus friends and family guests.
