Successful First Cruise of the Season
Published 01:00 on 19 Apr 2022
The first cruise of the season took place on Easter Monday, 18 April. At 11:00, twenty-four members set off in 10 dinghies most, fortunately, carrying outboard engines; the wind died when they were approaching the East Brambles buoy! By 12:30, they had all reached East Cowes.
After lunch at the Shoreside Café, with a perfect 15kn of wind on the beam, they flew back to Hill Head with the lead boat landing after a mere 45 minutes of sailing.
Photographs of the cruise may be viewed in the Gallery.
Members may access a report of the cruise from the CRUISING/Cruise Reports menu (here).
