Club Charity - Update

The Club's charity for 2019 and for 2020 is Wetwheels. You will find details on the Club Charity webpage.
By the beginning of 2020 the Club had raised £430 for Wetwheels. With the challenges facing so many charities through the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Committee decided to present the donation without delay or ceremony.
A heart felt thank you was received from Geoff Holt MBE DL, the charity's founder. He asked that this be passed on to all at Seafarers and to note that this very kind donation would enable the charity to take 20 people on the water for a Wetwheels adventure as soon as they were permitted to.
Geoff added "These are desperately uncertain times and we know that our disabled users are often the most vulnerable and it will be they who will be shielded longest. We are already hearing reports of disabled people struggling more with the mental health because of the lockdown. Our Commodore wanted to add his thanks to all at Seafarers Sailing Club for being so generous in their support of this fantastic cause."
