The defibrillator is available to Club members and to members of the public whenever the compound is open.

The defibrillator is fully automatic and no training is necessary.

The South Central Ambulance Service have the lock code.

Members are advised of alternative access to the lock code. (If logged in, click here)

  • Ring 999
  • (If the clubhouse is unlocked, a telephone is available just inside the central door on the wall on the right. There is another telephone beside the bar.)
  • Ask for the Ambulance service
  • Tell the operator the Club postcode (PO14 3QS) (this is on the front of the defibrillator cabinet)
  • The operator will tell you the lock code
  • Open the cabinet and retrieve the defibrillator
  • Maintain communications with the ambulance service

  • The defibrillator has two sets of pads:
    - Adults (aged 8 years and over)
    - Pediatric (aged under 8 years)
  • The adult pads are connected to the unit
  • Swap the pads if the patient appears to be under 8. Do not waste time if you are unsure.

  • Attach the pads as shown on the diagram and switch the unit on
  • The defibrillator will now communicate with you to inform you of the operations
  • No further interaction is required

The defibrillator was funded by a grant from Hammond Memorial Hall Trust because it would serve the Club and those from the local Community and further afield who use the Salterns park.
