Water Quality and Weather Information

Published 07:00 on 1 Mar 2022

Water contamination caused by the discharge of untreated sewage has been in the headlines recently. Water quality can also be reduced by heavy rainfall causing the input of pollution from sources such as roads and agricultural run-off. Club members can get alerts of reduced water quality by using the Safer Seas Service, an award-winning, free app promoted by "Surfers Against Sewage". For more details, go to our webpage SAILING/Weather and Water Quality (here).

Links to Solent Airport's weather page and Hill Head Sailing Club's webcam page are also now available from this page. They both provide additional sources of information on "Actual" weather.
