The Club's Management Committee has met almost every month since February 1961. Until January 1970, the minutes were written in manuscript in a large book (24cm x 37cm). Thereafter, the minutes were written or typed onto sheets of foolscap or A4 paper until the early 1990s. By then, word processors were widespread. During the 1990s it became common for most Committee members to receive their minutes from the Secretary in digital form via email.

In accordance with the Club's constitution (Rules), a hard copy of the minutes has always been posted on a noticeboard in the clubhouse. Posting a digital copy to the original Club website was problematic as it was open to the public. However, when a bulletin board (Forums) facility was added, this provided a members-only area to which Committee minutes could be uploaded. The Club's new SCM website, which came into operation in 2019, allowed for "member-only" pages. Since then, minutes of Committee meetings have been posted to a page within the CLUB/Club Documents menu which is only accessible to logged in members.

If you are logged in, you should see a side menu button titled Minutes since 2000 (smart phone users, select More). This will give you access to the minutes of every meeting of the Seafarers Management Committee held since January 2000.
