ILCA Open Meeting
To enter the event, competitors booked via WebCollect (here). This required them to sign up for a WebCollect account if they did not already have one. Entry opened on 18 April and closed at 1600 on 20 June. Entry before 1600 on 9 June cost £15. Late entry, from 10 June, cost £20.
Competitors were to be familiar with the Notice of Race (here) and the Sailing Instructions (here).
The proposed schedule for the day was as follows:
- 0830-1000 Registration and Tally in clubhouse; coffee and tea available.
- 0930 Mandatory Safety and Race Briefing at entrance to clubhouse.
- 1055 First Warning Signal - the sequence for the 3 classes to be determined on the day at the discretion of the Race Committee.
- Race 2 then Race 3 to follow as soon as practicable after the previous race.
- 1600 (or as soon as soon as practicable after all racing has completed) - prize giving with a light tea available in the clubhouse for competitors.
Upon entering, competitors who were not already members of Seafarers Sailing Club agreed to become temporary members of the Club for the duration of the event.
For helms taking part in the formal training on 24 June (see here) and the Open Meeting on 25 June, there was space to leave boats in the Club compound overnight. There was also a social event at the Club on the evening of 24 June.
