Tuesday Talk - The Solent

Duncan Colin-Jones' talk is entitled "The History of The Solent and Around its Shores".

Join us for an informative talk about the history of some of the places around The Solent. We probably know The Solent quite well from a sailing aspect but Duncan will no doubt provide a more detailed background covering the whole area.. The idea is to give everyone more understanding of the places they see and visit.

Bar open from 19.00 and the talk starts promptly at 19.30.

The talk is free - however, there will be a collection at the end of the evening in aid of Duncan's chosen charity - so please bring some cash if you can, many thanks.

Duncan's chosen charity is a Rotary based one, Shelter Boxes. It sends survival kit to areas where there has been devastation such as by hurricanes the large boxes are tightly packed with essentials, such as a family sized tent, cooking gear, drinking water kit, blankets and lots more even a small solar panel and battery to give light at nighttime.
