The rowing section at Tudor Sailing Club was established in 2016 with the acquisition of its first Bursledon gig, 'Rosie'. The section now boasts several club-owned and privately-owned Bursledon gigs.

Participating in local fixed seat rowing competitions over the years, the rowing section showcased its talent, gaining recognition within the rowing community. Building on their success, Tudor Sailing Club launched its own rowing competition, 'The Tudor Challenge,' in 2022, which proved to be a resounding success. The event now draws clubs from across the South.

The Tudor Challenge is a 10-mile fixed seat rowing race in Langstone Harbour hosted by Tudor Sailing Club. This year it is taking place on Saturday 15 August.
