With strong winds forecast, Hill Head Sailing Club has cancelled the race scheduled for 6 July.
The three Clubs will try to identify a suitable date to reschedule the 2024 interclub race.
This annual race between Seafarers, Hill Head and Lee on the Solent sailing clubs (SSC, HHSC and LoSSC) provides an opportunity to compete with our fellow sailors from nearby clubs and to race against different boats. The race was cancelled last year. LoSSC won the SLOSHH trophy in 2022. On the previous occasion on which it was awarded, in 2019, SSC won the trophy.
All are welcome. It doesn't matter if you have never raced before; the main reason to take part is to have fun. The scoring system rewards greater participation. This means the more of you that take part, the better our chance of regaining the trophy.
This year HHSC are the hosts. The race will take place in an area of the Solent between HHSC and SSC with the first warning signal at 11:00.

Prize giving will take place at Hill Head Sailing Club at 16:00 (unless otherwise advised).
The "Sign on Sheet" needs to be delivered to HHSC no later than 1 hour before the first warning. Seafarers will supply a Patrol Boat to cover the race. Volunteers will be required to crew our PB, drive the tractor, help on the beach, and Coordinate these activities.
