Booking Social Events
The Committee has agreed that, for a trial period that members should be able to book social events via e-mail. The Committee realised that it was sometimes difficult for members who live some distance from the club to make a special journey to the club just to book in for a social event.
Therefore, starting with the Skittles evening on Saturday 23rd September, it will be possible to book your place online by e-mailing to the Social Secretary. Please note you will not get a reply. See the Committee page for e-mail details.
Payment for any bookings made in this way must be made as soon as possible to Edie, as usual, and before the event. The paper copy list of names still remains the master sheet, and preferably most names will still go directly to this list on the club notice board. The e-mail list is envisaged just for those people living some distance away.
When making a booking by e-mail, names and number of places required must be clearly indicated, plus for which event.
Exceptions to this new concession are formal meals such as Trafalgar Night when numbers are very limited. On such occasions, there will only be the paper copy list on the club notice board.
The same closing dates for events will still apply for e-mail bookings, and applications will be dealt with as received in date order.
